Meet the Baker!
Hi there! I'm Molly!

When I was a little girl, my mother used to call me "sweetie" and "honey" when she needed to get my attention. She once blurted out a mixture of the two words, and ever since then I've always been her Sweeney Girl.

​​​​​As much as I say my passion for baking comes from my sole heart, I recently learned that my mother's side of her family has had a long history of baking professionally.
Perhaps I was destined to continue a craft that my family has held for such a long time!

So, why the name "Sweeney Girl"?
If my baking can bring a smile, it was all worthwhile!

When I was little, I was always helping my grandparents in the kitchen. Any chance I could snatch up to learn in the kitchen I did my best to do so.
Once a year, all the grandchildren in my family would come together and make my great grandma's famous sugar cookies, which is my sugar cookie recipe today, and proudly so.
The curiosity of baking came from the child in me, the love for it came from the heart.

What Motivates You To Bake?
Personally, I truly love hearing feedback about my product. Knowing what to continually improve on is fulfilling.
Seeing the smile I often see on people who eat my products brings me an immense joy. If it's not a smile I see on their face, it's usually their cheeks growing because they're enjoying the treat so much! 😂
I also often donate my leftover treats from events, and that intrinsically makes me super happy.

Angel Food Cake! It's light, it's sweet, it's fluffy, and it's not too heavy on the stomach after a meal!
